Aṣ-Ṣalāt adh-Dhātiyyah — Salawat Dhatiyyah
Allahumma salli `alaa 'dh-dhaati 'l-mutalsam wa 'l-ghaybi 'l-mutamtam laahooti 'l-jamaali naasooti 'l-wisaal tal`ati 'l-haqqi kanz `ayn insaan al-azali fee nashri man lam yazal fee qaabi naasooti 'l-wisaali 'l-aqrab. Allahumma salli bihi minhu feehi `alayhi wa sallim.
O Allah, bless the Talismanic Essence and the Sealed Unseen; the Divinity of Beauty, the Humanity of Union; the Advent of Truth, the Treasure and Source of the Primordial Man, in the unfolding of the One who never ceases, in the nearest arc of the humanity of Union. O Allah, bless through him, from him, in him and upon him, and grant peace.
A most profound salawat. It expresses that there is no one more beautiful than the Prophet ﷺ — the beauty of this universe and of the heavens — and here Allah sends His prayers upon that Essence (adh-Dhaat al-Mutalsam) which is hidden and whose realities cannot be penetrated without knowing the secret codes to open it. "Salli bihi" (bless through him) is other than "salli ʿalayh": make the salaat from the Prophet ﷺ to the Prophet ﷺ, and in him.
