Duʿāʾ Dukhūl as-Sūq — When Entering the Market

Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, bi-yadihi al-khayru wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.

There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Living and does not die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable.

Ibn ʿUmar reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever enters the market and says, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is all praise; He gives life and causes death; He is Living and does not die; in His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable,' Allah will record for him a million good deeds, wipe from him a million bad deeds, and raise him a million degrees.
